Hi! We’re Derrik and Malia, the husband-and-wife team behind Baydream Baby, and parents to Ollie, Storm, and Florence. Our journey began when we first discovered Lovey You, a beautifully designed, all-natural baby lounger that instantly resonated with us. We were drawn to its mission: offering a safe, natural alternative to synthetic baby loungers. When the opportunity arose to take over the Lovey You Lounger brand, we knew it was the perfect fit. We are thrilled to carry the legacy forward and reimagine it as Baydream Baby, blending our love for the coast with the same commitment to organic materials, sustainability, and safety.

Living in Southern California, we’re inspired by the rhythm of the coast: the way the waves roll in effortlessly, the warmth of the sun, the feeling of slowing down and breathing deeply. That sense of calm, comfort, and natural beauty is what inspired the name Baydream Baby, a place where little ones can relax, cocooned in softness, just like a pearl nestled safely in its shell.

Each lounger is sewn in Vista, California, by a small, family-owned sewing company and then filled by hand in our home in Rancho Santa Fe, California. Instead of synthetic foam or polyester, we use organic buckwheat hulls: a naturally breathable, mold-resistant, and supportive filling, so your baby can rest on a surface that’s as clean and pure as nature intended.

Baydream Baby isn’t just a brand to us. It’s a reflection of the way we live and what we value. We believe baby products should be as natural and nurturing as the little ones who use them, and we’re honored to continue this journey, bringing these beautiful loungers to families like yours.
